Heart Attack

Last night when I got home I opened my mailbox and discovered this.....

**For those of you having trouble reading it... I have enlarged the heart palpitating parts for your reading enjoyment**

You know some how it is less of a stresser when it is someone else's name on the notice. I see these ever day at work and after this I would prefer that they stay at work thank you very much.

So I called the IRS and listened to 10 minutes of stimulus payment information before I finally got to the point where I could press 2 to get information about the status of my case.

Once I finally was able to get to a woman who could help me she seemed confused right from the start. Really... you're telling me lady. My husband has never made 41,000 in his entire life. I was just trying to figure out how I was going to get them to believe that....

Finally she told me that she saw two 1099's from his company and the second one had the payee listed as his boss. And there is when the light bulb went off. We... last time I checked... are not his boss.

So she put me on hold and then came back and assured me that she would fix the problem. She them put me on hold again then came back and told me I would get a resolution letter in three to four weeks. And now I wait....

Heart Attack avoided... at least for now....

Anytime you get a letter from the IRS your heart has to skip a beat. Been there, done that, never want to go that road again. Hope it all works out. Keep in mind, its the government, its gonna be a hassle.

Ah yes, the hold music. I've heard it many a times since I work in a Tax Office as well. Its the music from the Nutcracker. Very irritating to say the least.
